Best Care

We care for you at hospital and at home.

We're a public hospital, a community care provider and a collaborative partner with medical professionals and regional healthcare partners. Skilled nurses provide many of our services. This wide pool of experience and expertise means we deliver a broad range of integrated health services.

We strive to deliver best care that is personal, connected and right, and safe.

Open Letter to Community

Discrimination affects mental health. How people are treated influences the wellbeing and safety of individuals, and our community. As part of the Macedon Ranges Local Safety Committee we've issued an open letter. It says that tolerance is not enough:

  • We are for marriage equality.
  • Equality is not negotiable.
  • LGBTI rights are human rights.
dementia palliative care

Treehouse is an innovative program to support carers and patients who are living at home in the Macedon Ranges with a life limiting illness or moderate dementia.

The Treehouse is a meeting place at the hospital for people to get involved in real activities that promote independence and wellbeing, and to give carers a day off.

The program goes beyond a traditional medical approach to provide supportive care in a social setting. It’s a practical ‘do stuff’ activities based program. It's fully-funded by Kyneton District Health at no cost to the patient or their carer.

Places are currently available in the dementia and life-limiting illness program streams. Interested people can contact Kathy on 5422 9987 or email <treehouse@kynetonhealth.org.au> .
