Thank you for your support

Ever since we began, over 160 years ago, our community has supported Kyneton Hospital to be its best.

Local groups, families and individual people contribute in many ways – big and small. We are grateful for everything; from buying a raffle ticket to baking a cake for a stall or contributing funds for equipment.

Healthcare is a vital but expensive business. To keep delivering Best Care we have to keep up with changes in technology, education and policy.  It’s important for our community that we maintain local services in well-equipped modern facilities, delivered by qualified and competent staff who value rural health careers.

While Kyneton District Health receives Government funding each year, community contributions take the pressure off and enable us to do that little bit extra for you. Your support is also a lovely way to acknowledge the personalised care that you or a loved one received while we looked after you.

We welcome financial and in-kind donations.

In-kind donations include services or materials that support events and hospital activities, or assist patients and our care for them. We’ve had signage donated, baby clothes provided and a car gifted for our district nurses to get on the road to visit people at home.

A secure online payment can be made or you can contact our executive office (03 5422 9900).  Once your financial donation is received, a receipt will be provided for taxation purposes.

By default, we keep donations confidential. But if you would like your contribution to be celebrated and acknowledged, this can be arranged. We do not supply our donor details to any other organisations.

In memorium

A gift in remembrance of a family member or friend is a meaningful alternative to sending flowers when someone you love passes away. We’ll gratefully issue a receipt when your donation is received.

Many generous people in our community like to keep giving after they have gone.  Your legacy – leaving funds to KDH in your will – supports us to keep making a difference to the lives of local people.

Bequests can make future projects a reality. You can support specialist equipment, training or facilities. It’s a way to give thanks and hope to our community, and meaning to your life’s work.  We welcome conversations about your intentions, and encourage you to discuss your plans with the appropriate people.

It is essential that you seek legal advice when making your will. Should you wish to support Kyneton District Health with a Gift in Your Will, the appropriate wording is as follows:

“I give, devise and bequeath to Kyneton District Health for the use and benefit of Kyneton District Health at Kyneton. I declare that the receipt of the chief financial officer or other authorised officer for the time being of the said Kyneton District Health shall be full and sufficient discharge to my executor for administration of this bequest”

Keep an eye on social media for upcoming opportunities to get involved and support KDH.

Gift Policy

KDH is committed to maintaining trust and integrity, and avoiding conflicts of interest.  We have implemented the KDH-gifts-policy to guide how we can respond to and provide offers of gifts, benefits and hospitality.  As part of our accountability process we also publish the KDH-Gift-Register each year.
