Partnering with Consumers
KDH is fortunate to have active local volunteers who partner with us in service planning, designing care and evaluating services. They join our staff and executive to contribute to the health and wellbeing of the Macedon Ranges community.
CACAC is a way for people to get involved and have a say about their local hospital. But most importantly the skilled volunteers help us to see the patient and carer experience through their eyes.
It’s an important engagement and governance role – the committee operates according to government legislation and guidelines. Members get to advise the Board, collaborate with staff and advocate for the community. We value and take their perspectives seriously.
Members discuss health issues and hospital services, get involved in projects and health literacy initiatives, develop patient and consumer information, and help KDH to keep listening and improving.
